Enriching Lives One Dish at a Time

Everyday life is demanding, and making proper eating choices is one of the challenges that gets pushed aside in favor of greasy fast food or pre-packaged meals. This is especially true when it comes to more urban areas, whose location and distance from fresh food producers make it hard to obtain healthy and garden pure produce. This encourages the consumption of undesirable fats and harmful chemicals added to the mass produced elements of those “fast” meals.

Nathaniel Ru is one such individual who sought out healthy fresh food., but was unfortunately left without options. Instead of shrugging the disappoinment off and turning back to the over-processed, pre-packaged meal plan, Ru decided to make a change. Nathaniel and his cohorts found the perfect location, and after a massive amount of tenacity and determination, were able to secure the backing and support necessary to create Sweetgreens. The creators of this cornerstone restaurant wanted to be more then just an eatery, they sought to share a deeper purpose. Sweetgreens and Ru desired to be a lifestyle brand that promoted physical health and a real life approach to food.

Sweetgreens also takes a different stance in the marketing and development department than many other businesses. They offer yoga classes, cross promotions with other fitness communities, live music, and speakers. Ru and his partners strive to make Sweetgreens a unique experience for their customers at each and every location. The business personalized marketing plan and special outlook on food make this farm to table restaurant a truly noteworthy experience.

Nathaniel Ru is a graduate, with a degree in Finance, from Georgetown University. His forethought, tenacity, and passion, as well as that of his business partners and friends, has worked to ensure the success and integrity of this company. These characteristics also attributed to the creation of a massive food and music festival that attracts a large number of attendees, as well as top of the line chefs and musicians. Ru’s extrodinary ideas and success has also been noticed and awarded throughout the national press.

Sweetgreens is a true cornerstone restaurant in the farm to table movement. It enables urban individuals and families to have access to healthy and fresh food that fits their budget, lifestyle, and taste. Nathaniel Ru and his friends have built a unique company that seeks to improve lives, enrich customers, and create a original standard in healthy living. They are recognized, and rightly so, for their outstanding forethought, true standard of service, and unique and individualized customer experience.

Markus Rothkranz on Why Afternoon Jogging and Exercising Won’t Burn Fat

For years, Markus has witnessed people jogging after work or after dinner. These people think they are burning fat, burning calories, or burning enough calories to compensate for their dinner plans. The truth is, they are not. The truth is, they are burning off what they had for lunch, their snack, the smoothie they had at work, or whatever else they ingested.

According to Markus, the body has three main sources of energy. The first one is food, which takes 5 to 6 hours for the food to process out of your system. It has been proven that people eat too much, and they eat too often. Most people eat every two to three hours, which completely defeats the purpose. All this extra food turns into fat, which is the body’s emergency power supply.

Markus also states that it is healthy to miss a meal every now and then, which is scientifically proven. By allowing your system to empty completely, the body can focus on flushing out the impurities and the toxins that have built up in your system. Which is why it is not healthy to eat all the time.

The second type of energy is glycogen. Most the population does not use their glycogen stores because they do not get up and move around enough. There are specific portions of the population that have realized the optimum time to burn off excess body weight. Body builders and professional athletes exercise in a fasting state.

This means that they wake up in the morning, and before they eat anything, they workout. This is because the body is in the perfect state to burn off the fat because there is nothing else to fuel their body.

No matter how many scientific studies you view, you will find the same result every time, when they body has nothing left to burn, it fuels itself with its fat stores. Unfortunately, if you have eaten anything or drank anything, your body would rather use the carbohydrates and sugars from those because they are easier to break down.

The moral of the story: Exercise in a fasting state so that your body has no choice but to fuel itself using the fat stores you desperately want to get rid of.

Sweetgreen is Reshaping the Restaurant Business in Washington, D.C.

Sweetgreen has become popular among students of Georgetown University, probably because of the nutritious meals it serves. Three former students of Georgetown University (Nathaniel Ru, Nicolas Jammet, and Jonathan Neman) formed Sweetgreen. These three friends came up with the idea while in their final year of college, but they actualized it after their graduation. The reasons behind this establishment were the desire to solve an existing problem, the love of good food, and the curiosity of wanting to create something new. Having decided to establish the business, they drafted a plan; however, they had no work experience in running any business.

The lack of experience worked in their favor because they approached every problem they encountered with psyche and renewed energy. Being new in the restaurant business, they were open to advice; they talked to hoteliers, university faculty, and architects who gave them tips on how an ideal restaurant space should be. Having attended a business class while in college, they began to appreciate the lessons they learned such as how a community affects a business brand. Ru and his colleagues have since decided to incorporate community service into their business.

Sweetgreen’s new projects

Since its inception into the market, Sweetgreen has introduced a program in schools with the aim of teaching children about proper dietary practices. This has been a success since the teaching is through fun activities such as sports and workshops.

Ru, Jammet, and Neman are quite creative; they have introduced food and music festivals program and named it Sweetlife. During this music festival, they invite artists such as The Strokes and, at the same time, they serve their restaurant’s dishes. Their customers have embraced this idea resulting in a tremendous increase in the number of individuals who attend the event. Aside from making profits, they preach about healthy living. According to co-founders, they are not just selling salads, but their primary mission is to make a difference. Ru, Jammet, and Neman continue to match forward investing on new projects and improving people’s lifestyles through healthy diets

Nathaniel Ru: the co-founder of Sweetgreen

Healthy Snacks From Livio Bisterzo

Snacking always has been and always will be popular, but it’s hard to make it both healthy and convenient. Some people simply stop worrying about choosing healthy snacks and opt for whatever options is most convenient, but more and more people have been choosing health instead. That has caused significant trouble for many companies that produce traditional, unhealthy snack foods, but it has also opened up opportunities for people who are willing to innovate to appeal to modern tastes. Livio Bisterzo is one of those people, and he has managed to turn chickpeas into a healthy snack that appeals to modern tastes.

That new snack is called Hippeas. It is similar to traditional puffed snacks, but it is made from chickpeas instead of corn or other grains. That gives it more protein and fiber than many similar snack foods while also cutting the calories down to a safe level. Hippeas is also gluten-free, which makes it great for increasingly health-conscious consumers and even better for people who suffer from allergies. That blend of nutritional benefits has helped Hippeas to stand out from the crowd and earn a place in many supermarkets and coffee shops all across the United States of America and beyond.

Of course, no snack can survive purely on its nutritional benefits. Hippeas is popular in part because it manages to be healthy without being strange. People are familiar with puffed snack foods, and Hippeas comes in a variety of relatively familiar flavors. That familiarity is what separates it from other health foods, and is one of the keys to its success.

Hippeas is produced by Green Park Holdings, a company that was founded by Livio Bisterzo in in 2015 to offer healthy food that can break into the mainstream market. Unlike many people who work in the health food industry, Bisterzo comes from a background in business. He started his career in the luxury market, but he eventually moved on to the food and drink industry when he acquired Little Miracles Drinks. That experience made him realize that a new, healthy snack food had a lot of potential on the modern market and taught him all that he needed to know to go on to found Green Park Holdings. Since then, Bisterzo has used his business experience to grow Green Park Holdings into a successful company and to bring Hippeas to as many different people as possible.
