Kerrisdale Capital Management is owned by Sahm Adrangi, and it has recently managed to raise $100 million to bet against a single stock. In most cases, hedge fund managers acquire money to focus on specific investment thesis like distressed energy companies. For Kerrisdale Capital, this is not the case as it planned to use the funds to sell stocks to a particular public company. It managed to raise a massive amount of capital within a short period by giving a topic of importance to alternatives community. Through the accumulated wealth, the firm led to purchase a $10 billion worth company, and it has ensured each person has understood all the information given about it.
Shane Wilson, Kerrisdale analyst, and Sahm Adrangi who focused on the upcoming campaign were working on a video, website, reports and other things to ensure they convince more companies on their thesis. Several enterprises forwarded their arguments, to which Kerrisdale took the target company, and it revealed to them. Kerrisdale then bought stocks to set up its position in the chosen company.
Kerrisdale is well known for betting against companies and also taking its case public. Currently, it manages around $500 million including the amount of money raised. The hedge fund which bets against and for company stocks has been able to increase an annual return of around 28% in the past five years, and it has been down to about 7% since 2016.

He is the chief investment officer and founder of Kerrisdale Capital Management. He founded the firm in 2009 where he is involved in its operations. He founded the company with $1 million which has grown to around $150 million. He became known after he exposed fraudulent firms from China.
Sahm Adrangi has ensured the company focuses on specific sectors where it has developed its expertise. He has been able to do publishing research and played an activist role in most investments. His financial career began in Deutsche bank, Chanin Capital Partners, and Longacre management. He studied Bachelor of Economics Arts at Yale University. Most times he has been a speaker at conferences, featured in publications and appeared in interviews.
